Last Day of the Kenai River King Run
Well here's the story, the winds blowing in the lower River , a cold one, so we stayed up river for the last 1/2 day on the River, we caught some other fish, but in the last 10 minutes of the season , we had seen this fish roll in the morning and wouldn't bite , then again at noon , I seen him roll again , he rolled a few minutes before we hooked him , and the battle was on, we shook that plug in front of his face till he just rolled right into it , hats off , to all the good fisherman that I had the pleasure fishing this 2007 season , its been a great season for Dad with their Daughters , and Dads with Sons and just the Family outing with the entire family , the true spirit of family still remains in the "Land of the Midnight Sun", see you in 2008 I have 12 days open for the season....................I hope to see you then ..................Keep you tip up ,

Patelco Continue large fish run on Kenai River
Patelco always has a great run of fish to pick through, not this year , we had to wait for the fish , as the nets were in and getting more outside than we were getting up the river, we waited and waited then it happens , we worked for every bite the last few days , but the wait was worth it winning the big fish award for the last day a a good solid 45# Kenai King, Big Al ended up with his fish , we had other fish released but not hardly eating size ........we'll see you next year and will get a bigger one Greg...........good fishing boys
Old friends meet in the strangest place's
JP come walking up just like he's done since high school, with a friend from Oregon and staying with other good friend Ronnie Mankins from Medford, it was just like old home week . one problem catch the girls their fish, problem solved , good tides , great water conditions and the right bait, magic numbers of fish, results almost a matched pair with the smiles to go with it ............Jimmy hands off to you buddy and good seeing you again , like we talked , we just took some time off fishing, now we have to make for lost time , see you soon on the RogueBobby D Lavern's group, the girls are on fire

Montana boys are back and landing Kings
Ive fished these boys before and I'll say it again , if you needed a boat full of go getter's , you would have to look long and hard to find a better team of young men than these kids from Montana, always a smile , never any problems , but we did manage to break a Rod, and in the process caught some dandy Kings, cant wait till next year to see the kid's from Kalisbel Montana/All hands on deck , we are catching more fish
Check out these smiles from the Weyerhouser group, it doesn't get any better than this for Salmon fishing, great weather, it did just stop raining, water conditions are good and the water temps are fair but cooling a little, good numbers of fish are passing by the sonar on a daily basis heading for the spawning areas, we are seeing more fish moving around and even sitting on the spot , were they like, we are hoping for a huge fish any day
Weyerhouser crew continue to get Kenai Kings
Well we had to name one of the new plugs, after Berkley;s Daughter Morgan, the new name "the double Morgan" and Pat held his end of the bargain up drilling a good fish at the start of each day , hat off to Berkley , Morgan, and Pat for being such a great crew , we are already for next year again , and good luck to Morgan in her new job right out of school, I bet she's wearing sandal's at the job sight eh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Riverbend Group get into some July Kings
Nice fish, great grade of fish for this part of the run, we are seeing the last of the late June Kings and the starting of the July late run Kings, water conditions are still good, temps are good and the counts are looking better everyday, nice group to fish, looking forward to next year already ........Wayne you have a great family

Dale Earnhardt Jr, could be ............on the Kenai
I thought it was when he introduce himself but he had to race that night, so he brought his Dad , Big Dave with him from Idaho, what a great team of fisherman this was , we had it going we had lots of fish for targets , and we were real selective on what we kept , giving water conditions and the perfect weather conditions along with some great tides , you just could not beat the days fishing on the lower river or the Kenai, "Hats of to Dale" what a great kid..............The Hardy group , get some good tides on the Kenai

Hey did we have a great goup this week , we had great water conditions , great temps , water and daytime, and a good number of Kenai Kings to shoot at every day, a good grade of fish for June, not much boat traffic, and good times by all , thanks again Tom Hardy group , for such a great week on the Kenai River .........
Sandvik team up on Kenai Kings
Water conditions change and so did the bite, but that didnt stop David and his Son from catching the Kings , we would have liked to hooked more , but we took some fine fish no the lease. Again the water conditions play a big part in the June fishery on the Kenai River, the counts continue to build with more fish everyday .......Gary Gull kicks the Alaska 2007 season off
Gary kicks the 2007 season off with a nice fish , water conditions were at prime with the thaw on the Kenai River , water temps were good , and the Hot Colored Silver sided Kings were on the move, the slot fish to be thrown back are 44"-55" all others may be kept, check out the 2007 seasons picturesWednesday, August 16, 2006

My Favorite Martin

7/29/2005
Steve Martin's quest for the big fish every year always puts him in running, he always says it's got to be over 70# before its "in the box". Many fish were caught and released over the course of the 2005 season looking for the 100# King Salmon that would take us over the top, we didnt get the big bite we needed, we did see some fish in the 80# class, so we ended up the season with eleven fish in the 60# range and only one fish over 70#, we will continue our quest for that 100# pound Salmon in the 2006 Kenai River King Season, we hope to see you and yours there with us, give us a call lock your days in, if its your first trip on a river to seasoned pro, we would like to hear from you, keep your lines tight & thanks again for your support..........
